Obituary

Jon Anthony Medeiros of Swansea, known to most as Jon, left us on the 4th of November, 2025. Born on September 6, 1956, in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Jon was most recently a builder at Hobby Lobby, where he crafted not just structures, but also relationships, memories, and a legacy that is sure to stand the test of time. He was not just a builder of physical entities, but also of dreams and aspirations, his own and those of others.

Jon had many past times and hobbies which included collecting matchbox cars, chase pieces, he loved his long rides to Cape Cod and enjoying the New England coast. He also could be found every Sunday at the Raynham Flea Market for the past twenty five years with his close friend Walter Reed.

Jon resided in Swansea, Massachusetts, where he was not just an inhabitant but an integral part of the community, always ready to lend a helping hand, share a laugh, or offer a word of encouragement. He is survived by his close friend Natasha Paradise of Swansea, and her children Kyra Love Paradise, Nicholas Roy Jr., and Raya Sunshine Raymond. His daughter Sheri Peckham of Fall River, and her children. His grandchildren from his late son Daniel Medeiros Alycia Goncalves and Brittany Sirois.

He was predeceased in life by his son Daniel Medeiros of Fall River, and both of his parents.

Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a public memorial visitation which will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM inside of the Ferreira Chapel at the Southcoast Funeral Home, located at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723.

We invite all those who knew and loved Jon to join us in celebrating his life and paying our collective respects.

In remembering Jon, we urge you to share your memories, stories, and photos on his memorial page. Each shared memory will help us to celebrate Jon's unique life and the impact he made on those around him. As we navigate this time of loss, let's remember the words of Dr. Suess, "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." In this spirit, we encourage you to celebrate Jon's life, remember his accomplishments, and keep his memory alive in your hearts.
