Jonathan James Ripa passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2023. Jonathan was born April 27, 1972 in Newport, Rhode Island. He was the son of Carmine F. Ripa and Maureen (Faerber) Ripa. Jonathan graduated from Portsmouth High School and was employed for several years as a technician for Cox Cable in Portsmouth. After his discharge from the US Army National Guard he relocated to Port Saint Lucie, Florida where he worked for Comcast Cable. Jonathan enjoyed watching documentaries, learning about world history and technology. He spent many happy hours fishing and camping. Jonathan is survived by his mother Maureen and his sister Melissa "Liss" Ripa. He leaves behind three nephews and a niece. Jonathan is predeceased by his father Carmine and his sister Jennifer (Ripa) LaVault. The family would like to express our love and gratitude to Erin Hennessey. Erin was his companion, his rock, his lifeline, best friend and true love. Funeral arrangements are by South Coast Funeral Home. Services are private.
