It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Jose Aguiar. He departed from this world on January 28, 2025 at the age of 73 after a brief illness.

Jose was born in the village of Agua Retorta, St.Michael Portugal on October 10,1951. He is pre-deceased by his parents Joao de Aguiar and Angelina da Costa Aguiar.

Jose enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to be outside in nature. Being by the ocean, fishing, gardening or tending to animals and livestock reminded him of growing up in Portugal. Jose always had a story to share about his experiences.

Jose leaves behind his loving partner Valdemira Teixiera; his sons Joe Aguiar (wife Jennifer) and Paul Aguiar; his grandchildren, Addison, Aiden , Kylie, and Ashton; and beloved family member Christina Viveiros (husband Mario). Jose also leaves behind his brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

A Public visitation will be held at Southcoast Funeral Home, located at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10 - 12 noon. It will be a time to remember Jose, to celebrate his life, and to share the ways in which he touched our lives.
