FALL RIVER... Jose R. Furtado, age 64, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Jose was born in the Azores in Faja Baixo, St. Michael to the late Adelino and Ermelinda (Rodrigues) Furtado. He later moved to the United States in 1967. Jose worked as a laborer in an aluminum foundry. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was also known for his skill working on cars. Survivors include: brother, Adelino Furtado of Tolland, CT; sister, Delzira Paiva of Fall River, MA; and several nieces and nephews. Jose was predeceased by his brother, the late George Furtado.
