Obituary

We gather here today to remember and celebrate the life of Jose Alejandro "Coco" Garay, born on December 18, 1984, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, who graced this world with his warmth and passion until September 7, 2025. An extraordinary man, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Jose was a man of many passions. As a child, he found joy and camaraderie on the baseball fields of Bayamón. Later, the rhythm and cadence of music seized his heart, becoming his solace and joy. His love for music was contagious, often filling the rooms he occupied with beautiful melodies and the contagious energy of his spirit.

Jose is survived by his two children, his son Josmael Garay of Fall River, and his daughter Jiaraenidliz Garay of Fall River, loving mother, Sonia Rosario; his father, Julio Garay; his older brother, Julio Garay; his sister, Neyshka Garay; his brothers, Gabriel Garay and Miguel Rosario; and his youngest sister, Eneleyshka Colon. He also leaves behind his former wife, Ciara Garcia, who shared a special place in his life. Jose was a beacon of light and love to his family, a pillar of strength and comfort. His memory will continue to live on through the love and unity of his cherished family.

Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Southcoast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. 09:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11:00 AM. A Committal Service will conclude services at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River, at 12:30 PM.

In celebration of Jose's life, we invite all who knew him to share their memories and photographs on the memorial page. It is through these shared memories and moments that we can truly pay tribute to Jose's vibrant spirit and his everlasting impact on our lives.

As we remember Jose, let us do so with a song in our hearts, reflecting his love for music and his passion for life. Jose's life reminds us of a quote by Bob Marley, "One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain." So, let the memories of Jose's life be our song, lifting our spirits, and reminding us of the joy he brought into our lives.

Services are humbly entrusted into the care of Southcoast Funeral Homes "Celebrating A Life Well Lived"
