FALL RIVER ... Jose M. Sousa, 62, of Fall River passed away August 18th at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Leonilde (Arruda) Sousa of Fall River. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of Jose de Souza of Acushnet and the late Eduarda (Cabral Lindo) de Souza and had lived in Fall River since 1975. Mr. Sousa was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church and employed by Quaker Fabric for over 30 years as a machine operator. He enjoyed fishing, soccer, and spending time with his family. Along with his wife and father, survivors include 2 daughters: Nancy Manchester and her husband Jason of Tiverton and Priscilla Wicks and her husband Jonathan of Tiverton, 2 brothers: Gilbert De Sousa of Acushnet and Louis Lindo of New Bedford, 2 grandchildren: Landon Manchester and Charlotte Wicks, many nieces and nephews. Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to will be held Friday at 8:30 AM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden Street, Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-8 PM.
