FALL RIVER... Joseph F. Castro, age 82, passed away at home on Friday, March 24, 2023.

Born in Fall River and a longtime resident of the city, Joseph was son of the late Antone and Mary (Silvia) Castro. He was the beloved husband of Arlene (Jezak) Castro.

Prior to his retirement in 2002, Joseph worked as a supervisor at Stone Container Corporation and Alden Corrugated for 40+ years. With his wife by his side, they enjoyed casinos, motorcycle travel and numerous trips to Las Vegas. Most of all, Joseph loved to spend time with his family. He was also a lifetime member of the Liberal Club of Fall River.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: son, Joseph E. Castro and wife Filomena of Somerset, MA; daughter, Donna Bethoney and husband Stephen of Somerset, MA; brothers, A. Russell Castro of Little Compton, RI and Thomas Castro and wife Donna of Westport, MA; sister, Jacqueline Marshall of Tiverton, RI; grandchildren, Stephen, Angela, Alexander, Lucas, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Evan, Liana, and Zara. Joseph was predeceased by his sister, the late Virginia Houlker.
