Joseph "JoMo", "Joey" Moniz August 29-1962 - October 3, 2023 Always full of surprises and forever the life of the party, Joseph Moniz passed away in his home on the evening of October 3, 2023. Joey was an avid sports fan. He could regularly be found watching a game on TV, especially if the Giants, Yankees, or Norte Dame were playing that day. Joey loved to cook and to lend a hand to family and friends. He took pride in the accomplishments of others. He was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Lillian and Peter Moniz. Growing up in Hillside Manor, where he made many lifelong friendships. He attended Durfee High School. Joseph was in the military and worked for many years at the Fall River Wastewater Treatment Plant and as a sanitation worker. Joey will be dearly missed by all who have known him. He is survived by his children (Dakota Moniz, Nicole Newton, Brittany Moniz), former partner (Hayley Moniz), brothers and respective spouses (Peter and Jayne Moniz, Micheal Moniz, William and Kim Moniz, and Douglas Moniz), mother (Lillian Moniz), selfless neighbor (Gerri), aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, cousins, two grandchildren and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father and close friends Wayne Oliver and BamBam, who guided him with peace out of our world. At this time there will be no services. The family is planning a celebration of life in the coming time.
