Obituary

Josephine S. Walker, 86, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, with her family by her side. Born on March 31, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, Josephine spent her early years in the city before living the quiet life in Florida, and ultimately settling in Massachusetts, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She was the daughter of the late Sophie Bohun and William Moser, and sister to the late Joe, Steve, and Bob. She is survived by her sisters Anna and Pat, who remained close to her throughout her life.

Josephine was previously married to the late Walter F. Walker. Their marriage, shaped in part by the demands of military life, was not an easy one, and Josephine faced its challenges with the same strength, wit, and honesty that carried her through all of life's hardships. She was known for being a straight shooter—never afraid to speak her mind, set boundaries, or stand firmly in who she was.

Josephine was always extremely passionate about supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Later in life, she cherished her solitude and the comfort of staying informed by watching the news. However, nothing made her happier than traveling to visit her family.

She leaves behind her children Donna, Walter, Debbie, Pam, Sherry, and Ernie, and is reunited in passing with her daughter Leslie. Josephine's memory lives on through her grandchildren—Eric, Jodie, Jennifer, Darlene, Simone, Sara, Theresa, Christine, Ronnie, Paul Jr., Katelyn, Justin, Julia, and Amanda—as well as "too many" great-grandchildren to list (20), each one a part of her lasting legacy.

Josephine will be remembered for her resilience, her honesty, her independence, and her deep love for family. Her strong spirit lives on in everyone who knew and loved her.

May she rest in peace.

To honor her memory, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Services are humbly entrusted into the care of Southcoast Funeral Homes at Ferreira Chapel "Celebrating A Life Well Lived"
