NEW BEDFORD...Juan A. Ruiz, 49, of New Bedford passed away November 24, 2022 in New Bedford. He was the loving husband of Jahaira Baez. They had been together for the last 5 years. Born in New York, he was a son of Juan A. Ruiz Firpo and Fredeswinda Ruiz Caro, both of Puerto Rico. Mr. Ruiz worked in security and as a bus driver. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved working out at the gym and spending time with his family and friends. Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his son: Anthony Coriano of Elgin, IL; his step-children: Miroshka Hernandez and Jam Carlos Guzman, both of New Bedford; his brothers: Robert Ruiz of Puerto Rico and Jose Ruiz of Middleboro; his grandchildren: Amaia Carmona and Jerethzael Mendes; and several nieces and nephews.
