FALL RIVER... Judith "Judy" A. Whitcomb, age 77, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, December 25, 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Norwich, CT, Judy was the daughter of the late Clarence and Barbara (Taylor) Whitcomb. She later moved to Fall River, MA in the early 1970s, where she spent 38 years with her beloved partner, the late Leo Parisee, Jr. Judy was a strong and independent woman, known for her bravery, honesty and loyalty. She didn't have an enemy in the world and to know her was to love her. She enjoyed time spent outdoors, going to mountain men rendezvous and powwows, where she earned the name "Strong Heart" among her friends. Judy loved animals, especially horses. But most of all, she loved time spent with her family and friends. Survivors include: brother, Ronnie Whitcomb of Sterling, CT; uncle, Gary Berg; nieces and nephews, Ron, Tonja, and Jason; and many beloved cousins. In addition to her partner and parents, Judy was predeceased by her sister, the late Sheryl Whitcomb. Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place at 8 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723. Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM, prior to the service in the funeral home.
