We celebrate the life of Karen Santos, a woman of extraordinary grace, boundless compassion, and indomitable spirit, who passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025.

Karen was a woman of many remarkable achievements but will be remembered most for her kindness and the love she had for others. Her passion for life was infectious, and her zest for adventure was limitless. She had an innate ability to find beauty in the mundane, and she embraced every day as an opportunity to learn something new and make a difference. It is said that "the purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Karen embodied this sentiment and lived out these principles every single day.

Karen was a lover of all animals, the beach, and classic rock. She was also a diehard New England sports fan. She loved daytime talk shows and Hallmark movies and Animal Planet.

Karen spent most of her life working in the healthcare field. She spent most of her career in healthcare starting in 1977 working at Goddard Hospital in Stoughton, MA in both the lab drawing blood, and then moving on to the emergency room as a nurses aide. She also worked in several nursing homes as a nurses aide and a few dialysis facilities as well.

Karen had a wild sense of humor and a definite knack for making people laugh. Those who knew her best understood her humor.

Born to Thomas and Lillian (Banda) Stevens she was raised in Holbrook, MA. Karen grew up on Birchwood Road in a neighborhood full of kids around her and her siblings ages. Neighbors were like extensions of her own family and everyone was close. She graduated from Holbrook High School in 1974, and eventually moved with her young family to Middleboro to raise their children.

Karen is survived by her 3 daughters: Teresa Morgan (husband Justin) of Titusville, FL Jessica Santos of Fall River, MA, Jillian Santos (partner Bryan) of Columbia Falls, ME She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Andrew, Hannah, Joseph, Gage and Josephine. She is also survived by her siblings, David Stevens (Wife, Gail) of Plymouth, MA, and Kathy Stevens of Pembroke, MA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Karen is predeceased by her son Daniel and granddaughter Olivia.
