FALL RIVER... Kathleen H. (Mooney) Bourgeois, age 68, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA.

Born in Fall River to the late John and Rose (Archer) Mooney, Kathleen lived most of her life between Fall River and Westport.

Kathleen served her community as a crisis center mental health advocate for over 25 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed crafting, shopping and motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons. She loved spending time with friends and family. Most of all, she loved her granddaughter, Makenna, and her dogs.

Survivors include: son, Jon Bourgeois of Fall River, MA; daughter, Nicole Avila, her husband Marcio, and their daughter Makenna of Somerset, MA; brothers, John Mooney, Jr. of Westport, MA and Sean Mooney of Bangor, ME; several nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by her siblings, the late Michael "Micky" Mooney, Carol DiRito, and Ann DeMello. She was also the former wife of the late Joseph "Butchie" Bourgeois.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held at 8 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 following visitation from 5 PM to 8 PM at South Coast Funeral Home, located at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA, 02723.
