Obituary

We bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Kenneth Abrantes, who embarked on his eternal joyride on August 4, 2026. Born in Fall River, MA, on June 22, 1960, Kenneth lived a life full of dedication, love, and adventure. As the poet Emily Dickinson wrote, "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."

Kenneth was a man of many talents, but perhaps his most notable was his gift as a mechanic and truck driver. He was always ready with a helping hand or a funny remark. As the saying goes, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." For Kenneth, his work was his passion, and he poured his heart into every task he undertook.

His memory will continue to shine brightly in his families hearts as they will miss him dearly, but knowing Kenneth has guided them through life's challenges and inspiring them to live with the same spirit of kindness and determination that Kenneth embodied. As Albert Schweitzer once said, "The only escape from the miseries of life are music and cats." For Kenneth, his escape was his family, and he cherished every moment he shared with them.

We invite all those who knew Kenneth to share their memories, stories and photographs on his memorial page. These shared experiences help keep his spirit alive, and serve as a testament to the love and respect he garnered in his lifetime. In the words of Henry David Thoreau, "The most I can do for my friend is simply to be his friend." We ask you to honor Kenneth's memory by being a friend to his memory, and to each other.

Services are humbly entrusted into the care of Southcoast Funeral Homes at Ferreira Chapel "Celebrating A Life Well Lived"
