We honor the life of Kenyatta Lakendrick Roebuck, who left us too soon on September 18, 2025.

Kenyatta was born to Fannie Bloodworth and Joseph Rucker on April 20, 1979, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the beloved brother of Renaldo, Kimberly, Kammica, and his twin sister, Kia. A bond that was as unique and special as the one Kenyatta shared with his twin is rare and will be cherished forever. Kenyatta was a proud Bostonian, whose spirit and love for his city were evident in his every action.

Kenyatta was a proud alumnus of Malden High School, where he formed many lasting friendships and memories. He was a man of many talents, but his most remarkable quality was his ability to bring joy and laughter to any room he entered. Despite never having formal employment, Kenyatta's work ethic and determination were second to none. He was a pillar of strength and optimism to his family and friends, always putting their needs above his own. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Kenyatta lived by this philosophy, and his life was a testament to his selflessness and love for those around him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Kennetta Roebuck, and his devoted mother, Fannie Bloodworth. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rucker. Kenyatta's love and memories will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His spirit, strength, and kindness will never be forgotten.

Kenyatta made everyone feel loved, accepted, and special, and his memory will forever be cherished.
