It is with tender hearts that we honor the life of Jeanne Gagnon, who was born on February 4th, 1934, in Fall River, Massachusetts, the city she called home throughout her life. Jeanne was a beautiful soul whose love for cats and quiet life brought tranquility not only to her life but to those around her. "What is a home without a cat?" the French proverb asks. "It is just a house." And Jeanne's home was never just a house, it was a haven of peace, warmth, and feline companionship. Her life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, love for the quiet, and the unique joy found in the company of cats.

Jeanne is survived by her sister, Claudette Pacheco. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Elzear and Imelda Canuel and her siblings, Rosie Martel, Eugene Canuel, David Canuel, Michael Canuel, Paul Canuel, Bernadette Powers, and Theresa Cadieux.

A memorial visitation will be held at the South Coast Funeral Home inside the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723, on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, at 5:00 pm. The memorial service will follow at the same location at 6:30 pm.
