Lawrence A. Held, Jr. 92, of Tiverton, husband of Mary (Santevecchi) Held passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at The Grand Islander Nursing Home in Middletown. Born in Spokane, Washington, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Held.

Besides his wife of over 67 years, he is survived by his two daughters Karen L. Neville and her husband Scott, Lori A. Argenti and her husband Domenic and two grandchildren Chelsea J. Zimmerman and her husband Shane and Audrey J. Jackson and her husband Allan, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Held.

Lawrence had served as an Elder for over 65 years, most recently in the West Tiverton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses where he was dearly loved and will be missed. He loved reading and studying the Bible and helping others. He enjoyed watching The New England Patriots, the Boston Celtics and had an interest in aviation and airplanes. He also loved nature and animals, especially Buddy, their beloved beagle. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law and will be greatly missed by them all.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Grand Islander, Homestead Unit, for taking care of Lawrence for the past several years.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 615 Fish Road, Tiverton, Rhode Island.
