Lincoln
Palmer
Jun 17, 1944 — Apr 7, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lincoln "Linc" Francis Palmer on April 7, 2025, a radiant soul who profoundly touched the lives of all who knew him. Born on June 17, 1944, in New Bedford, MA, Linc was a man of extraordinary character, whose life was a testament to the quote, "The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love."
Linc volunteered to serve his country during the Vietnam Era as an infantryman in the United States Army. He attended Airborne training and was assigned to the 3rd Armored Division "Spearhead" in Germany.
Linc spent most of his career at Potter Funeral Service Inc. in Westport, Massachusetts, where he resided. His employment was not merely a job, but a calling. He was the unsung hero, the quiet engine that kept the business running smoothly, often working behind the scenes to ensure every detail was in place. He was known for his diligent work ethic, his keen attention to detail, and his unwavering dedication. Linc was respected by his colleagues, not only for his professional prowess but also for his genuine kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand, epitomizing the words of Albert Einstein: "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile."
In celebrating the life of Lincoln Palmer, we are reminded of the quote, "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." He lived this quote daily, serving others with his skills, his time, and most importantly, his heart.
His life was a beautiful example of selflessness and dedication, and his legacy will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
Please share your memories of Linc and upload your favorite photos of him to his memorial page. Your shared memories and photos will serve as a comforting reminder of Linc's life, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his friends and family. Linc may no longer be with us physically, but his spirit lives on in our hearts and memories.
