Lissa Marie Cabeceiras, age 56, passed away peacefully at her home on October 21, 2025. She was born on December 24, 1968, in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Lissa was a vibrant, fun-loving soul whose smile could light up any room. She had a deep love for travel and especially enjoyed cruises to Bermuda and the Bahamas, trips to Maine, Florida, and Las Vegas, and days spent at the beach. More than anything, Lissa cherished making lasting memories with her family.

A true lover of nature, Lissa found joy in long walks and quiet moments outdoors, often accompanied by her beloved (and now late) fur babies, Tunick and Nakita. She adored all animals, but Tunick, Nakita, and all of her beautiful cats held a special place in her heart. Lissa was the most devoted fur mom, and even more so, a loving and exceptional mother and grandmother. Her care, warmth, and unwavering support were felt deeply by her family. Her kindness extended to everyone she met—always ready to lend a hand or offer a warm smile.

Lissa is the beloved granddaughter of the late Norman and Yvonne Fournier. She is survived by her life partner, Roland Fournier; her parents, Jacqueline and Kenneth DeCosta; her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and David Sampson; and her cherished grandson, Liam Sampson. She is also survived by her aunt, Paulette Fournier; her siblings, Jodi DeCosta and David Cabeceiras; her nephews, David and Cory Cabeceiras, Chad DeJesus; and many dear friends and extended family members.

Per Lissa's wishes, no formal service will be held. Those wishing to honor her memory are invited to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the ASPCA, two causes close to her heart.
