NEW BEDFORD... Lorraine M. (Rocha) Lobo, 82, of New Bedford passed away June 20, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in New Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Oliveira) Rocha and had been a lifelong resident of this city. Mrs. Lobo had a love for listening and dancing to Cape Verdean music, she enjoyed watching gameshows, spending time with her family and above all else, she loved to laugh. She worked for many years as a computer assembler in Boston prior to her retirement. She is survived by her sister-in-law: Toshiko Rocha of New Jersey and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Laura Pires, Lillian Rocha Weeden, Agusto Costa, Albert Rocha and Francisco "Butchie" Rocha. Lorraine had a giving heart and donated to local charities as well as several others including St. Jude Children's Hospital and the United Negro College Fund. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please consider a donation in Lorraine's name to a charity important to you. A Private Family Memorial will be held at a later date.
