Luis
Cabral
Jun 17, 1965 — May 12, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Luis Cabral, of Fall River, a devoted husband, loving father, and a genuine friend to all whose lives he touched, on May 12th, 2026.
Born on June 17th, 1965, in Agua Retorta, Portugal, Luis was a beam of light who warmed every room he entered with his vibrant spirit, and who carried his Portuguese heritage with immense pride. His love for the outdoors knew no bounds, and he found great joy and tranquility in gardening and tending to his grape vines, a hobby that reflected his nurturing spirit. He especially loved making his own wine, a true expression of the fruits of his labor; crafted with patience, dedication, and shared with those he loved.
Luis was a man of faith, his deep devotion to the Holy Ghost evident in his daily life. His work as a nursery worker was more than just an occupation—it was his passion. He loved nurturing plants just as he loved nurturing relationships, always putting others before himself.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Cecilia Cabral, and their cherished daughter, Victoria Cabral. He is also survived by his siblings, Fatima Sardinha (Late Husband Jose Sardinha), Jose Cabral (wife Maria Cabral), Luisa Teixeira (Husband Adelino Teixeira) Alda Carreiro (Husband Manuel Carreiro), and Regina Teixiera (Husband Luis Teixiera). He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis Cabral and Maria Resendes, and sister Margarida Agostinho (Late Husband Luis Agostinho). Luis is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His legacy will continue to live on through the love and memories of those who were fortunate to have known him.
Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation which will be held on Wednesday May 20th, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at the Southcoast Funeral Homes inside of the Ferreira Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Fall River. The committal service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River, Massachusetts.
In honoring Luis's life, we invite you to share your memories and upload any photos to his memorial page. Let us come together to celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that has profoundly touched us all.
The funeral home offers a lighted parking lot which is available on the corner of Boutwell and Pleasant Street, (opposite corner of the funeral home) and our facility has a handicap-accessible ramp and entrance.
