Born on April 11, 1937, in Rio Piedras, P.R., Luz was a radiant soul whose love and kindness touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman of indomitable spirit and unwavering resilience, embodying the words of Emily Dickinson, "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all." Luz's life resonates with this sentiment, as she nurtured hope in the hearts of those around her with her warm presence and buoyant spirit.

For Luz, her home in Fall River, Massachusetts, was more than just a residence; it was a sanctuary of love, laughter, and countless memories, a place where she embraced the role of homemaker with grace and dedication. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of quiet moments turned extraordinary by her loving touch. Luz emanated a sense of peace and comfort, making her home a refuge for all those who entered. Luz has now joined her parents, Juan and Malen Martinez who preceded her in death.
