Obituary

Magalys Maria Chalas de Ramirez, 63, passed away on October 2, 2026. She was born on August 2, 1963.

Magalys was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of her life. She was faithfully married for 46 years to her husband, Daniel Ramirez Asuncion. She was a loving and devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and a deeply cherished sister, grandmother, cousin, and friend.

She loved the preaching work and found great joy in helping others learn about Jehovah. Her warmth and the love she showed to those around her will be remembered by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Daniel Ramirez Asuncion; her children, Daniel Alexander Ramirez, Evelyn Farida Ramirez de Daniels, Daniela Solanyis Ramirez, and Nathanael Ramirez; her 11 grandchildren; her siblings, Eduardo Chalas, Pablo Chalas, Berenice de Mateo, Julio Chalas, and Marcia Santana; as well as a multitude of cousins, friends, and brothers and sisters in the faith.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a service on Friday, October 9, 2026, 04:00 PM - 06:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1340 Elmwood Ave, Cranston, RI 02910 Parking will be available at the Kingdom Hall. Southcoast Funeral Homes staff will be available on-site to assist guests with parking and provide guidance upon arrival.

We encourage everyone who knew and loved Magalays to share their memories, stories, photographs, and words of comfort on her memorial page. Each remembrance is another piece of her story and a testament to the many lives touched.

She rests in the sure hope of the resurrection, and her family looks forward with great anticipation to the day when they will see her again.

Magalys Maria Chalas de Ramirez, de 63 años, falleció el 2 de octubre de 2026. Nació el 2 de agosto de 1963.

Magalys fue una de las Testigos de Jehová y una cristiana devota cuya fe fue el fundamento de su vida. Estuvo casada fielmente durante 46 años con su esposo, Daniel Ramirez Asuncion. Fue una esposa amorosa y dedicada, una madre maravillosa, y una hermana, abuela, prima y amiga muy querida. Amaba la obra de predicar y disfrutaba ayudar a otros a aprender acerca de Jehová. Su calidez y su amor por quienes la rodeaban serán recordados por todos los que la conocieron. Será profundamente extrañada.

Deja para honrar su memoria a su amado esposo, Daniel Ramirez Asuncion; sus hijos, Daniel Alexander Ramirez, Evelyn Farida Ramirez de Daniels, Daniela Solanyis Ramirez y Nathanael Ramirez; sus 11 nietos; sus hermanos, Eduardo Chalas, Pablo Chalas, Berenice de Mateo, Julio Chalas y Marcia Santana; y una multitud de primos, amigos y hermanos en la fe.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a asistir a un servicio el viernes, 9 de octubre de 2026, de 4:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m., en el Salón del Reino de los Testigos de Jehová, ubicado en 1340 Elmwood Ave, Cranston, RI 02910.

Habrá estacionamiento disponible en el Salón del Reino. El personal de Southcoast Funeral Homes estará presente para ayudar a los asistentes con el estacionamiento y brindar orientación a su llegada.
