Margaret May Peters, 66, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2026, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Margaret was a loving mother, devoted partner, and a cherished friend to so many. She leaves behind her longtime significant other, Paul Hebert, and her children, Alyssa Gonzalez, Brittany Hebert, Cameron Hebert, and Jason Peters.

Margaret will forever be remembered for her witty personality, her quick sense of humor, and her incredible ability to make the people around her laugh. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a way of bringing light and joy into even the simplest moments. Those who knew Margaret will remember not only the things she said, but the happiness she brought with her wherever she went.

Above all, Margaret loved her family. Her children were an important part of her life, and the love she had for them will continue to live on through each of them. She created memories that will be treasured forever—moments filled with laughter, love, and the unmistakable warmth that made her who she was.

Her unexpected passing has left an emptiness that words cannot truly describe.
