FALL RIVER... Maria N. Cura, 75, of Fall River passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Sao Miguel, Acores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Assucao (Ponte) Cura. She had moved to the United States in 1975. Ms. Cura had worked for many years as a seamstress at various mills throughout Fall River. She enjoyed crocheting and watching TV but above all else, she loved baking, cooking and going to yard sales. Survivors include her nieces: Elizabeth Terra and her husband Roy of Swansea and Trisha Cura of Fall River; her great nephew: Camron Caetano of Fall River; and his great niece: Madison Caetano of Fall River. She was the sister of the late Joao Cura. Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 11 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 9 - 11 AM, prior to the service.
