Maria Esmeralda Relvinha, a spirited and loving soul, passed away on October 22, 2024. Maria was born on April 2, 1970, in São Miguel, Azores, and later made her home in Fall River, Massachusetts. Her charismatic personality, infectious laughter, and joy for life touched all who knew her. As the poet Khalil Gibran once wrote, "Life is a song - sing it. Life is a game - play it. Life is a challenge - meet it."

Maria was an industrious woman and took great pride in her work as a Machine Operator. Her dedication to her work was only surpassed by her devotion to her family. As a loving mother, Maria spent as much time with her daughter Kayla as possible. She was a beacon of strength and resilience, a testament to her unwavering love and nurturing spirit.

In her leisure time, Maria found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her daily walks around Fall River were a testament to her spirited and energetic nature. She found solace in the flow of music, often relaxing with her favorite tunes playing in the backdrop. Her sense of humor was delightful, and Maria had a knack for finding humor in everyday situations, making those around her feel lighter, even in the face of adversity.

Maria is survived by her beloved daughter, Kayla Relvinha, her son Steven Relvinha, and Jason Relvinha. She leaves behind her legacy of love with her granddaughter Jaylah, her two sisters Maria O. Cordeiro, and Lucy Simao, and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Relvinha, and her parents, Januario Ramos and Maria Ramos. A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 08:00 AM - 09:00 AM at the Southcoast Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shephard Parish, Fall River at 10:00 AM following visitation, committal service with prayers will follow at 11:15 AM at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
