Marilyn Ruth Andrew, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, an ambitious woman of many talents and a heart full of compassion, passed away on May 9, 2025, just shy of her 83rd birthday. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on September 30, 1942, to Joseph and Lillian Heywood, Marilyn was a beacon of creativity and kindness that lit up every room she entered. An ardent lover of antiques, she was known for her keen eye for unique treasures and her ability to transform them into something even more special. Her love for the old and the unique didn't just stop at antiques; it extended to people as well.

In her professional life, Marilyn was a force to be reckoned with in the world of finance and asset management. Her career at various banking institutions was marked by dedication and ambition, traits she carried over into her personal life as well. After a rewarding career, she moved to Florida with her loving husband, Bruce. However, their love for Rhode Island drew them back, and they returned home to Tiverton, where Marilyn continued to pursue her passions of antique shopping and card making. She was an artist at heart, creating beautiful handmade cards that she sold on eBay, imbuing each with a piece of her character—an amalgamation of creativity, love, and warmth.

Marilyn and Bruce's marriage of over 50 years was the stuff of legends, reflecting their mutual respect, affection, and shared love for antiques and travel. Their visits to Cape Cod and Provincetown for antique shows and flea markets were times of absolute joy, memories of which will forever remain etched in their hearts. In the words of Nicholas Sparks, "The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more—that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds." This was the kind of love Marilyn and Bruce shared.

Marilyn's life was a testament to the impact of kindness and the power of love. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce, and will forever be remembered by the many lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lillian Heywood.
