Mark
Munroe
Dec 12, 1961 — Nov 5, 2024
Mark Eugene Munroe, known to all as Mark, was born on the 12th of December, 1961, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. A master electrician by trade, Mark's hands were seldom idle. His work, both in his profession and for those he loved, was a testament to his belief in the value of honest craftsmanship. As Theodore Roosevelt once said, "Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." Mark lived this belief every day, dedicating his life to a craft that he loved and a community that he served with pride and commitment.
Mark Munroe was a man of many passions. He loved the simple moments in life, the quiet mornings with a cup of coffee. His strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to his craft were evident in every project he undertook. As Thomas Edison said, "Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." For Mark, opportunity and work were one and the same.
Mark was the treasured son of Elwood Munroe and Joanne Rutledge, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Dustin Munroe, who will continue to honor his father's legacy in the years to come. As we mourn the loss of Mark, we also celebrate the life that he lived so fully.
In memory of Mark, we invite you to leave your memories and upload any photos you may have to the memorial page. His story is not just one of dates and places, but of the people he touched and the lives he changed. Please help us to continue his story.
