FALL RIVER... Mark J. "Markiss" Silva, 62, of Fall River passed away September 13, 2023, at home. Born in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Richard Silva, Jean L. (Gifford) Silva and Ernest Jefferson. Mr. Silva worked as a truck driver for NWD Inc. of New Bedford. He had a lifelong passion for trucks! He enjoyed watching westerns, wrestling and building model cars. Cracking a joke and having his snacks. But above all else, he loved spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and his dogs. Survivors include his daughters: Lisa Silva and her companion Daniel Ramos, Rita Silva, Jean Dymond and her husband Kareem, all of Fall River; 5 grandchildren: Masiah, Amari, Leilani, Jullianna and Julian, his best friend Pamela Silva of Florida; his sister: Tammi Silva of New Bedford; his brothers: Richard Silva and his wife Rosemary of Florida and Robert Silva of New Bedford; with many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late David, Alan, Dennis, and Chris Silva. Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, September 18, 2023, from 3 - 5 PM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA. A service will follow at 5 PM.
