With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Catherine Coughlin, a beacon of light in our lives, on January 27, 2026. Born on December 15, 1948, in Fall River, MA, Mary lived her life with a passion and an unwavering dedication to her family. As Albert Einstein once said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile," and this was a philosophy that Mary truly embodied.

Mary was an extraordinary woman who poured her heart and soul into her work as a Hospital Administrator at Charlton. She was known for her meticulous nature, compassionate demeanor. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. Mary's incredible spirit and zest for life were truly infectious, making her a joy to be around. As Maya Angelou beautifully put it, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Mary made everyone feel loved and cherished.

Mary is survived by her son David Medeiros, her daughter Alicia Medeiros, and her half-brother James Chandler. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jonathan, Tara, Hunter, David Jr., and Ashley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maureen DeGreve. Mary's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met.
