FALL RIVER... Matthew J. DaPonte, 29, of Fall River passed away January 29, 2015 at his home. Born in Fall River, he was a son of Tammy (Beleda) Tavares and her husband Paul of Fall River, and the late Nicholas DaPonte. Mr. DapPonte enjoyed riding dirt bikes and going to Seekonk Speedway. Along with his mother and stepfather, survivors include 2 children, Hailey & Kaiden DaPonte and 5 brothers: Michael DaPonte, Marc DaPonte, Paul Tavares, Jr., Patrick Tavares, & Peter Tavares, all of Fall River.
