Matthew Ryan Knapp, born on October 13, 1994, in the Town of Fall River, left his family on October 4, 2025. Matthew was a gentle soul with a kind heart.
Matthew was a loving grandson, son, nephew and a caring brother, He was a generous individual, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His creative side was most noticeable in his heartfelt rap lyrics, which he wrote and performed with intense passion. Matthew was also a fan of the New York Yankees and the Chicago Bulls, and his prized hat collection was a testament to his love for those teams. In his quieter moments, he displayed his culinary skills, learned beside his father, Wayne.
Matthew is remembered by his loving Knapp family. His Grandmother Nancy, Uncle Jeffrey and Aunt Kathy and his dad Wayne Knapp. He also is remembered by his Grandfather Wayne and Grandmother Diana, Uncles Christopher and Benjamin Knapp. Matthew also leaves behind Grandmother, Marion Crowley, his big brother, Neil Mattos, and special Aunt Vicki Crowley who raised him with his many cousins. Aunts, Suzanne Arruda, Lisa, Dawn, and Uncle William Crowley. He was preceded in death by his loving Mother, Valerie Crowley and Grandfather William E. Crowley.
In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." So, let us remember Matthew for his love, his generosity, his creativity, and his compassion. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
