Maurice "Moe" Ouellette, a lifelong resident of Fall River, Massachusetts, was a man who personified the essence of life itself. Born on October 9, 1961, in Fall River, Moe was an embodiment of a loving, witty, and thoughtful soul. His hearty laughter and zest for life were infectious, making him the life of the party. His sense of humor, often referred to as funny, never failed to lighten up a room. As Mark Twain once said, "The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter." Moe wielded this weapon like a master, spreading joy to everyone he met.

Moe was a dedicated worker as a manufacturer in Fall River at Lightolier, but his work was not what defined him. It was his love for karaoke, old rock and roll music, and his city, Fall River, that truly characterized him. His affinity for nature was evident in the time he spent at the Watuppa Pond with his friends. A lover of the simpler things in life, Moe was known for his fondness for seafood and his knack for making people feel at home and comfy. He was a sensitive man, always ready to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. His devotion to his family was evident in the way he single-handedly raised his two children since 1989, Jessica and Michael, and he always made sure his children wanted for nothing in life.

Maurice is survived by his daughter, Jessica Ouellette and her fiancé Paul Tavares; his son, Michael Ouellette; grandsons Troy Parker Jr. and Christopher DeCosta; his sister, Deb Golsby and her husband Jay; niece Katelyn; nephew Garrett; and many beloved cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Ouellette; his mother, Clarisse (Claire); his father, Joseph (Ray), and his brother Ron Ouellette. As we mourn the loss of this incredible man, we take solace in the words of Kahlil Gibran, "When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."

Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation on Thursday, July 23, 2026, 5:00 PM - 08:00 PM inside of the Ferreira Chapel at the Southcoast Funeral Homes, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM presided over by Chaplain and Life Celebrant Ines Bates, services will conclude for the public following the funeral in the chapel. A private committal limited to immediate family will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery and Mausoleums.
