DARTMOUTH... Maxwell M. Bethoney, Jr., age 33, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. Born in Wareham, Max was the son of Tuesday M. Desrochers, Douglas A. Desrochers, of Dartmouth, MA and Maxwell M. Bethoney Sr. of Taunton , Ma. He lived most of his life in Dartmouth and Westport. Max also leaves behind his fiance, and love of his life ,Laura Lynn Greer of Buzzards Bay. Max worked in construction as a roofer for Robert`s Roofing and Construction . He was a member of New Life South Coast Church in New Bedford where he was a part of the Freedom Crew. Max enjoyed kayaking and spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. He loved spending time hiking with his family and playing with his children. Max was a giant kid at heart. In addition to his parents and fiance, survivors include son, Holden C. Bethoney of Buzzards Bay, MA; daughter, Gracelyn M. Greer of Buzzards Bay, MA; sisters, Katherine Bethoney of New Bedford, MA, Sarah Bethoney of Dartmouth, MA, and Heather-Lyn Desrochers of New Bedford, MA; Max`s nieces include, Jaylyn, Niyah and Kara. He was predeceased by his brother, the late Caleb M. Bethoney. Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 5 PM at New Life South Coast, 1331 Cove Road, New Bedford, MA 02744. Visitation will take place from 3 PM to 5 PM at the church prior to the funeral service. Cremation to follow.
