EVERETT, MA.... Michael Anthony Arruda, Jr., 40, of Fall River passed away, April 10, 2019 in Everett, MA. He was born in Fall River. Son of Vanessa (Victor) Arruda and the late Michael Anthony Arruda, Sr. Michael attended Monacan High School in Richmond, Virginia and Bunker Hill Community College, Charlestown, MA. He lived most of his life in Fall River. Like his father, he was a Chef with a great passion for everything culinary. Michael had a wonderful sense of humor and was a huge New England sports fan. He had a love of baseball and throughout his life, he was on various baseball teams. He enjoyed playing basketball, traveling and going to the gym, beach and the movies. Survivors include his mother, Vanessa; two sisters: Nakisha Arruda of Boston, MA, and Abreanna Valencia of Barrington, RI; nephews: Steven and Landon; a niece, Jazzylyn; his girlfriend, Carrie Jenkins; several aunts, an uncle, and cousins. Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, April 24th, at 11AM at Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect St. Fall River, MA. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 23rd, from 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway, Fall River, MA.
