With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Michael Francis Cahill, a loving and devoted husband, father, and a friend to all whose lives he touched. Born on May 9, 1950, in Boston, Michael Francis departed this life on January 14, 2025. He was a proud resident of Berkley, Massachusetts, where he lived a life full of purpose and joy.

Michael Francis served his country with distinction and honor during his 20 years as an enlisted officer in the military, achieving the rank of Sgt. 1st Class E7. His devotion to duty, his courage, and his unwavering loyalty were hallmarks of his stellar military career. Michael Francis was a true patriot, a man of commitment who lived by the words of John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." He carried this mantra not only during his military service but also in his day to day life, leading by example and inspiring those around him.

Michael Francis is survived by his beloved daughter, Dawn Devine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Sr and Francis Cahill. Michael Francis was a beacon of strength for his family, always putting their needs before his own. He was a source of wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love. His infectious laugh, his heartwarming smile, and his zest for life will remain etched in our hearts forever.
