"Michael Galego, age 70, of Fall River MA passed away on September 1, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Fall River, Michael was the son of the late Louis O. Galego and the late Deolinda "Jean" Galego. He was preceded in death by his sisters Linda (Galego) Dubois and Lori Ann Galego.

Prior to his retirement, he was a custodian for the Fall River School Department for 24 years. He was a lifelong musician and teacher of guitar and drums (and Elvis fan), and proudly passed on his love for music to his children.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marie Galego; his son Aaron Galego; his daughter Lauren Cournoyer, his son-in-law David Cournoyer Jr. and his granddaughter Arya Cournoyer. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Odilia Ferreira, her husband Manuel Ferreira, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Animal Rescue League of Fall River."

Memorial Visitation to which family and friends are invited to will be held Wednesday September 11, 2024 from 6-8PM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St, Fall River, MA.
