FALL RIVER...Michael J Steinhof, 66 of Fall River passed away June 17th at his home. Born in Fall River, he was a son of Helen Louise Steinhof of Fall River and the late Dr. Edward J. Steinhof, D.D.S. Mr. Steinhof was a Group Home Counselor at the Cove Center in Providence. A graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School where his father graduated before him. He attended and played football at Holy Cross College and also attended Boston University. Mr. Steinhof played semi-pro football for the North Attleboro Kings and later became owner, player and manager for the Warren Whalers and the Warren Rhinos. Along with his mother, survivors include a sister: Jody L. Fedele of Florida, 3 brothers: Edward J. "Jay" Steinhof, Jr. of Florida, Gregory E. Steinhof of Fall River and Dr. David L. Steinhof, D.M.D. of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Carol Anne Steinhof. Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 9 AM from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, Rockland St. Fall River. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 - 8 PM.
