Michele D. Monteiro was born in South Boston, Massachusetts, on October 2, 1956, and spent her life radiating love and kindness to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life may have come to an end on March 29, 2026, but her spirit, her love, and her memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of her loved ones. As an anonymous quote says, "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure." For those who loved Michele, she is indeed a treasure.

Known for her love of card games, Original Lays potato chips, coffee, and Pepsi, Michele was an individual whose simple pleasures made her incredibly relatable. Her husband, Antonio (Tony), was her partner in life for 29 years. Their love story was one of companionship, respect, and mutual adoration.

Michele was admired in the Cape Verdean community where she lived her married life, immersing herself in the language and culture. Her dog, Boolash, was a constant companion and brought her immeasurable joy.

Michele was the mother of Robert Benoit & his wife Elizabeth, Timothy Benoit, and the late Joseph Benoit; stepmother of Antonia Monteiro, Sanjoana Monteiro, Indira Monteiro, Neudira Monteiro, Jose Monteiro, Niculau Monteiro, and the late Geraldina Monteiro; and sister of Roger Paradis and the late Mark Paradis. Michele also leaves several grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Dolores (Lariscy) Langlois.
