Monica
Giannotti
Apr 30, 1957 — Jul 28, 2025
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister & Friend
Monica Ann (Munroe) Giannotti, of Fall River, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fall River and raised in Tiverton, RI, Monica was the daughter of the late Agnes (Mello) Munroe and Kendall Munroe.
Monica is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Alan D. Giannotti. Together they built a beautiful life and family. She leaves behind her three cherished sons and their families: Alan Giannotti, Jr. and his wife Jennifer (Amaral), and their daughters Montana and Savannah; Michael Giannotti and his wife Eileen (Toro), and their children Kendall and Michael; and Matthew Giannotti and his wife Nicole Hubbard, and their children Diem, Layla, and Dominick.
She is also survived by her loving sister Virginia (Munroe) Barek, as well as several nieces and nephews. Monica's heart was generous and welcoming — she was a second mother and grandmother to many, including Jessica and Derrick Borges, Jeff Machado, and their children, who held a special place in her heart.
Monica was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cecilia (Munroe) Raposa.
Monica was a woman of vibrant spirit and deep devotion. She loved professional wrestling, music, and her beloved cats — but nothing brought her more joy than her family. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her sons will forever remember her as their biggest fan — constant in her love and pride.
Monica's life was marked by kindness, resilience, and fierce love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
