Nancy Joyce Junier, affectionately known as Nan Nan by many, passed away on October 2, 2025. Born to Jack and Edith Pickup on August 14, 1946, in New Bedford, MA, Nancy left an indelible mark on every heart she touched. Her life was a living example of the quote, "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth" - Muhammad Ali.

Nancy dedicated her life to the service of others in her hometown of New Bedford, where she resided for 79 years. She was a beacon of love, care, and unyielding support, not just to her family, but also to her community. Her career in the medical field was awe-inspiring. For years, she served as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Operating Room Tech at St. Luke's Hospital, retiring in 2015 after decades of unwavering commitment to her patients. Her selfless service was recognized with an Achievement Award, a testament to her dedication and the lives she positively influenced.

But it was not just in her professional life where Nancy shone. Her love story was one for the ages, a testament to devotion and enduring love. Nancy was also a beloved sister to Susan Pickup. Her hobbies included cooking, knitting, and crocheting, activities through which she expressed her creativity and love for others. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edith Pickup.
