Feb 27, 1956 — Oct 23, 2025
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nancy Ellen Norwood (née Dusoe) of Fall River on October 23, 2025. Nancy was a beacon of love and care, born on February 27, 1956, in Fall River, Massachusetts. Her life was a testament to the virtues of humility, intelligence, and unyielding support for her loved ones. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts as a symbol of enduring love and familial devotion.
Nancy spent most of her life in Fall River, with a short stint in East Freetown, Massachusetts. Her professional journey was equally remarkable, demonstrating her smart, thoughtful nature. She achieved Magna Cum Laude from Bristol Community College which was a great accomplishment for herself and her family. She served as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in various nursing homes. Nancy's career was a reflection of her natural ability to care for others. Whether in her professional life or at home, she was always the supportive pillar her family could lean on. Even in her leisure, Nancy's loving nature shone through. Her hobbies were a clear manifestation of her caring spirit, always ensuring those around her were comfortable and content.
Nancy went to Durfee High School, she was on the Honor Roll, during her education on her club/team she was the Head Flag Twirler. In life she earned her Associates in Business and worked at Rand McNally. She had Attended Bristol Community College and earned her OTA degree receiving Magna Cum Laude recognition.
In the words of the Bible, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:8). Nancy's humble and loving heart was the epitome of this verse. In her 69 years of life, she found her greatest joy in her family, particularly her grandchildren. Nancy was a doting grandmother to Dylan, Madison, Damien, Jonathan, Cassandra, Nathan, and Victoria. Her ability to love endlessly and selflessly was a testament to her strong Catholic faith.
Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She is survived by her sons, David, Nathan, and Trevor, and her siblings, Michael Dusoe, Joanne Marshall, Marybeth Suneson, and Sharlene Westmoreland. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Thomas Norwood, her parents, Harold and Joan Dusoe, and her beloved siblings, Paul Dusoe and Dianne O'Neil.
