Orlando "Big-O" Torres September 4, 1968 – January 31, 2025
Orlando Torres was born on September 4, 1968, in Norwalk, Connecticut, and spent his years in Fall River, Massachusetts. On January 31, 2025, at the age of 56, he went home to be with the Lord.
Orlando was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Known to many as "Big-O," he had an unwavering love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. His presence was larger than life, and his kindness, humor, and warmth left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
He had a passion for life's simple joys—watching wrestling and fight nights every weekend, playing softball throughout the years, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He loved old-school kung fu and comedy movies, sharing laughs over funny YouTube videos, and gaming with his sons and grandsons. A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team.
Orlando's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his four children: Tabbatha Torres, Tecia Pennington, Beau Torres, and Javien Torres, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Adrian Adorno, Gabriella Adorno, Mason Torres, and Alayah Pennington, who brought him endless happiness.
He is also survived by his three brothers, Arthur J. Hernandez, Jose Orlando Torres, and Juan Luis Torres. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando Torres Sr. and Carmen Luz Ortiz, as well as his brother, Luis Figueroa.
Orlando's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His laughter, love, and larger-than-life spirit will never be forgotten.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723.
The Funeral Service will also take place inside the Southcoast Funeral Home on the same day at 11:00 AM.
The Committal Service will follow at 12:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02720.
We invite all who knew and loved Orlando to pay their respects and celebrate his life. Remember him for the strength he showed, the love he gave, and the life he lived.
We encourage everyone to share their memories of Orlando and upload photos to the memorial page. His life was a testament to the strength of the human spirit, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.
