It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela Cecelia Barbosa, a woman of boundless generosity and resilience. She moved on to her next chapter on March 30, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was a stellar conversationalist with an unforgettable smile, and a tremendous heart with love for all.

Pammy graduated from Durfee High School in 1969. She worked at many beloved local spots such as Brow's Drug Store, Duro Finishing and Venus DeMilo. She eventually moved into her role of devoted full-time mom after relocating to Swansea in 1982. Nearly 30 years later, she rejoined the workforce through Citizens for Citizens Senior Employment Program. She was hired at the Fall River City Hall where she proudly worked for the Council on Aging and then at the front desk until officially retiring. In more recent years, she enjoyed chatting with family and friends, and watching her favorite TV shows, notably Judge Judy, Perry Mason and Wheel of Fortune (which she was excellent at.)

Pamela's love for her family was unparalleled; it was what mattered most to her. She is survived by her daughters Keri Ann (Darrin) Drader and Melanie (Broderick) Baker, her step-daughter Eleanor Almeida, her brother James D Michonski, her cherished nieces Erica Birge, Valerie Borges, Cynthia Michonski, and Sarah Achten, and her beautiful grandchildren Avery, Kennedy, Jacob, Cadence, Violet, and Scarlett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Barbosa, her parents, John J and Cecelia Michonski, and her brother, John M Michonski.

Her legacy is one kindness and hospitality. She never faltered when it came to welcoming guests; hosting an impromptu gathering or a weekly game night. Once you had visited her home, you were never considered "company" again. A knock at the door was simply answered with "It's open!" You took your seat at the kitchen table, because now you were family.

Per Pamela's request, in lieu of a formal service, we welcome you to her beloved home to celebrate her life on Sunday, April 12th, any time after 11:00 a.m.
