Patricia
Donovan
May 27, 1944 — May 8, 2025
Patricia Donovan, age 80 of Fall River, MA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on May 8th, 2025. Born in Shoemaker, CA on May 27th, 1944, to the late James H. Duffy Jr. and Rita (Cullingworth) Duffy, Patricia was one of 6 children. Her siblings include the late James Duffy, Mary (Duffy) Braga, Brian Duffy, and Matthew Duffy. She is survived by her brother Keavin Duffy and his wife Frances.
Patricia attended Taunton High School. She went on and married her late husband, Arthur J. Donovan Jr. and welcomed their two daughters, Chris Ann and Kathryn.
Patricia worked as a Special Needs teacher's aide and later a Special Needs secretary for the Fall River School Department for many years. After retirement, she volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store and worked at the Charlton Memorial Hospital Gift Shop.
As a talented seamstress and crafter, Patricia began her own business called "What's Her Name's Dolls" where she handmade dolls, doll clothing, and created her personalized Time Out Dolls. During this time, you would commonly find her at a booth at the Durfee Craft Fair.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Whether it was helping someone make their vision come to life, hitting the Salvation Army for that really cool find, being a cheerleader at baseball games, plays, and cheer competitions, or simply getting in the car and going on picture adventures with Kathryn, or in search of the best lobster rolls in the state with Chris Ann, her most cherished times were those spent with her family. She also had a great love for her Jack Russell, Angel.
She is survived by her daughters, Chris Ann (Donovan) Daniel, Kathryn (Donovan) Correia and son-in-law, Louis Correia Jr., her grandchildren, Jennifer Viana and her husband, Joshua, Matthew Daniel, Antonio Daniel and his wife, Denise, and Abigayle Correia, her great-grandchildren Matthew Daniel Jr. and Mckenzie and Madilynn Viana.
A private service will be held at a later date for family members to celebrate Patricia's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia's memory to the COPD Foundation.
Services are humbly entrusted into the care of Southcoast Funeral Homes "Celebrating A Life Well Lived"
