Patricia
Souza
Mar 13, 1942 — May 24, 2025
Patricia Ann Souza, a spirited and compassionate woman, passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 83 at Country Gardens, Swansea, MA. Born on March 13, 1942, in Fall River, MA, Patricia left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her thoughtful nature and supportive spirit were the cornerstones of her personality, inspiring many to embrace life with positivity and kindness. Just as Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Patricia truly embodied this sentiment.
Patricia was a proud graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1960, and furthered her education at Johnson and Wales Business College in Providence, Rhode Island, Class of 1961. Her spirit and zest for life were truly infectious and served as a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Patricia was surrounded by a loving family that she cherished. She is survived by her siblings Natalie LaFrance-Smith of Riverside, Rhode Island, Judith Dionne (Robert) of Westport, MA, and Joseph Souza Jr. (Debra) of Swansea, Ma. Patricia loved her many nieces and nephews dearly. Her mother, Mabel (Noons), and father Joseph Souza preceded her in death.
Patricia lived her life fully, she was a woman of unwavering determination and resilience, leaving an emptiness that will be hard to fill.
We invite you to share your favorite memories, stories or pictures of Patricia on her memorial page. Remembering Patricia's life and the joy she brought to ours can bring comfort during this time of sorrow. Patricia would have wanted us to remember her with smiles, not tears, for she is now at peace.
A candy-colored clown they call the sandman Tiptoed to my room one night Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper "Go to sleep, everything is alright" Sweet dreams rest in peace.
All arrangements are private with respect to Patricia's wishes.
