Patrick J. Murphy III, affectionately known as P.J., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 20, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Patrick and Pamela Murphy.

Born in Fall River, he spent his early years in Somerset and later Westport where he enjoyed fishing, swimming and skateboarding, which became a lifelong sport.

A graduate of Durfee High School, he was employed as a carpenter and landscaper with a specialty in stonewalls and walkways. A proud Catholic, he practiced his faith unconditionally.

His greatest gifts in life were his two girls, Ireland and Mariella. They were his pride and joy. Besides his children, P.J. leaves behind his former wife Krista Anger; his sister Heather Lepage and his nephew Murphy Lepage; his aunts Luce Murphy and Donna Carroll; his uncle Richard Michaud and his cousins and their families and cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, godparents and aunt and uncle. They will welcome him home to his heavenly reward.
