FALL RIVER... Peter Godek, Jr. 69 of Fall River passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA surrounded by loved ones.

He was born in Fall River - a son of the late Peter L. and Doris I. (Durpre) Godek and had been a lifelong resident of the city.

Mr. Godek was a lifelong carpenter, finishing his career as a Project Manager for Advance Building Concepts of Middletown, RI until his retirement.

Peter was a man of few words, but was known for being kind and giving. He had a love for classic rock music and woodworking. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends, most especially his son and grandchildren.

He was loved by many, including a son Benjamin P. Godek and daughter-in-law Kelsea Godek of Portsmouth, RI; 3 brothers: Paul Godek of Fall River; Dennis Godek of Westport; Joseph Godek of Somerset; 3 sisters: Cheryl Leandro of Somerset; Cathy Pierce of Fall River; Christine Henry of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; 2 grandchildren: Maeve and Benjamin Jr.; several nieces and nephews and a lifelong friend, Linda Peters. He was the brother of the late Edward Godek and Diane Curtis.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date. The family welcomes donations to The American Lung Association in Peter's name as an expression of sympathy.
