Obituary

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Qualberto S. Santos, known to many as Al, who departed this life on November 13, 2025. Born in Rosario, Lagoa, Acores, on September 17, 1945, Al lived a vibrant life that was filled with creativity, talent, and love.

Al, found joy in the simpler things in life. A dedicated worker, he served as a Local 4 Operator in the Union until his retirement. His passion for riding motorcycles was only surpassed by his love for restoring classic cars and trucks. He turned his hobby into an art, winning several trophies at classic car shows for his beautifully restored vehicles. His love for these machines was infectious, and he spent many hours sharing this passion with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant the world to him. Al was also an avid football fan and loved the New England Patriots.

Al's love and legacy will continue to live on through his sons, Albert Santos, Jonathan (Carrie) Santos, and George (Yady) Santos and his 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Al also leaves behind 2 sisters and 1 brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, José Santos and Leotina Margarida his former wife Nancy Santos, brother George Santos, his former daughter in law Doreen Santos and grandson Cory Santos.

Al's life was a testament to his creative spirit, his impressive talent, his sharp intellect, and his loving heart. As we remember and celebrate his life, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Al to his memorial page. It is through these shared stories and images that his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
