His love for fishing was only surpassed by his love for his wife, Elisabete Pereira, who survives him. He also leaves behind two children, Raul Pereira Jr. and Maria Tuly. He also leaves behinds many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Raul was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Pereira, and his mother, Mariana Ramos. His legacy of love, strength, and perseverance lives on in those he leaves behind.
